Introducing: Liesl Grace

I believe it’s high time to introduce you to Liesl Grace. She came to us on Sunday, August 9^th at 1:40 pm. And we just love her to pieces!

I’ll be happy to share my “birth story” soon for anyone interested (ie. thoughts on “accidentally” having a natural birth – or “Why I Love my Anesthesiologist”), but until I can capture the essence of everything that experience entails, I thought I’d just share a few photos for a quick introduction. She’s already 6 weeks old and growing so quickly, I must share her with you before she gets any bigger! So please allow me indulge in a short photo tour of our beloved “LG”.

(These are all just candid snapshots from my Samsung phone camera, trying to capture every single crooked yawn, sleepy pudgy cheek face, and fleeting moment of angelic innocence before they disappear and she turns into a little girl. Soon to come: photos from the newborn photo shoot that we splurged on. You will die of cuteness. For reals.)

While it’s been an adjustment for him, Ollie loves to “old ehr” (hold her) and seems to truly adore her.

Any time he sees her on the carpet, in her carseat, or any other place within reach, he goes over and says, “Hi, baby!” in a voice about 4 octaves above his normal speaking voice. It’s adorable.
